7-DAY EXPERIENCE

What if one question could change what you see?

7-Day Happiness Experience

Magic Bean with orange sunglasses at the HappiU Question Lab, posting a card into an orange question box surrounded by notes asking Why?, What if…? and Really?

We spend an extraordinary amount of time looking for answers.

The right answer.

The quick answer.

The answer that solves the problem, ends the uncertainty and lets us move on.

Which is understandable.

Answers are useful. πŸ˜‚

But every now and then, something much more interesting happens.

Someone asks a question…

and suddenly you see something you hadn't seen before.

Not because the world changed.

Because the question did.

For the next seven days, Magic Bean would like to conduct a small experiment.

There will be questions.

There will be humans.

There may be some unexpected answers.

And apparently there is a box involved.

That's all we're saying. πŸ˜Žβ“

❓ Questions are strange little things

A good question doesn't necessarily give you anything.

Sometimes it does the opposite.

It opens something.

A conversation.

A possibility.

A different point of view.

Another question.

Sometimes you ask someone something you have never asked before and discover that a person you thought you knew…

still has entire continents you haven't visited.

Sometimes you turn a question toward yourself and realise you've been giving the same answer for years without checking whether it's still true.

And sometimes a question simply makes an ordinary conversation much more interesting.

That's where our experiment begins.

Not with finding better answers.

But with becoming curious about…

What a question can do. ❓

πŸ”¬ Welcome to the Question Lab

For seven days, you're going to experiment.

With whom?

We're not telling you.

What will you ask?

Nice try. πŸ˜‚

Will the questions be serious?

Funny?

Unexpected?

Slightly uncomfortable?

Something you've never thought about before?

Magic Bean has the list.

And his laboratory security protocols have become frankly excessive. 😎

What we can tell you is this:

Each day begins with a question.

Where it goes after that…

is no longer entirely up to us.

Because questions have an inconvenient habit of opening doors.

And we have no idea what will be behind yours.

πŸ‘‚ The most interesting answer may not be yours

There's another curious thing about questions.

They take us outside our own heads.

When we genuinely want to know what another person thinks, remembers, notices, wants or imagines, something changes in the conversation.

We stop preparing our next sentence.

We listen.

We discover.

Perhaps we become a little less certain that everybody sees the world the way we do.

And occasionally someone gives an answer so unexpected that it follows us around for the rest of the day.

That's the kind of trouble we're hoping for. πŸ˜‚

🌱 Why questions?

Curiosity does something to the way we see

Curiosity and questioning are much more than pleasant intellectual habits.

Research on curiosity suggests that wanting to know can influence attention, learning and memory.

Research on interpersonal curiosity and responsive listening also points toward something wonderfully human:

Being curious about another person can change the quality of an interaction.

But HappiU isn't interested in turning seven days of questions into a university seminar.

We're interested in putting the idea into the wild. At breakfast. At work. Over coffee. In a conversation. Perhaps somewhere you don't expect.

And asking: what happens if I become a little more curious here?

🌿 A little note from HappiU

This isn't about interrogating everyone you meet. πŸ˜‚

You don't need to become endlessly inquisitive.

And nobody has to answer anything they don't want to answer.

A good question needs something else too:

β€œRespect. Space. Listening.”

The willingness to accept an answer you didn't expect.

Or no answer at all.

Because curiosity isn't about extracting information from people.

It's about becoming genuinely interested in what you don't already know.

Your experience

  • 7 days
  • One question at a time
  • Real-world experiments
  • A little creativity
  • A few minutes a day
  • Playful + curious + human

πŸšͺ Seven days. Seven doors.

We're deliberately not showing you what's behind them.

Every day you'll receive a small HappiU invitation.

A question.

An experiment.

Something to notice.

Perhaps something to ask.

Perhaps something to keep.

And occasionally…

something may end up somewhere rather unexpected. 😎

Your job is wonderfully simple:

Ask. Listen. Notice.

Not perform.

Not impress.

Not find the cleverest answer.

Just see what happens when you give a good question enough room to breathe.

✨ What might change in seven days?

You may begin to…

  • Ask more open and interesting questions
  • Listen with a little more curiosity
  • Discover unexpected things about people you already know
  • Notice assumptions you normally don't question
  • Become more comfortable not knowing immediately
  • See familiar situations from different perspectives
  • Have conversations that wander somewhere new

And perhaps you'll discover something beautifully inconvenient:

Sometimes the question you need isn't the one that gives you an answer.

It's the one that gives you another way of looking. ❓

What's waiting for you

  • 7 daily question experiments

One small invitation at a time.

  • Something that starts rather empty

We expect this situation to change. We're saying nothing else. 😎

  • A little hands-on HappiU creation

Yes, scissors may become involved. No, we're not explaining why. πŸ˜‚

  • Your Question Journal

A tiny place to keep the answers, surprises and discoveries worth remembering. At the end, you can turn your journey into your own downloadable Experience Journal.

  • Your HappiU Passport reward

Unlocked when you complete the Experience.

And naturally… Magic Bean has hidden something else. We asked him where. He answered with a question. This is getting annoying. πŸ˜Žβ“
